A childhood rhyme has officially become Bengaluru startup news.
Cosmos Diamonds, founded by NID-trained jewellery designer Sanjana T., created Cosmic Bloom, a lotus-shaped lab-grown diamond artwork. A replica travelled aboard Skyroot Aerospace’s Vikram-1 mission and is now orbiting approximately 450 km above Earth.
It moves at around 28,000 kmph and experiences 16 sunrises and sunsets every day. The lotus shape was chosen partly because it looks striking from almost every camera angle.
Bengaluru startups apparently heard “the sky is the limit” and took it as negative feedback. Sakkath.

Yeshwantpur Railway Station’s newly developed spaces could soon receive food courts, convenience stores, offices, business centres and co-working areas.
South Western Railway is also considering rooftop cafés, viewing decks and spaces for exhibitions and events. Bengaluru Cantonment is being considered for similar additions.
One day, “meet me at Yeshwantpur” may involve coffee instead of staring emotionally at the departure board.

Silk Board Gets Its Missing Footpath

More than 125 volunteers recently cleaned Silk Board Junction, removed posters and waste, repainted flyover pillars and helped complete a missing pedestrian link.
The biggest improvement is a 100-metre-long, two-metre-wide footpath connecting Central Silk Board Metro Station to the junction.
The initiative brought together CGI employees and their families, Bengaluru South City Corporation and India Rising Trust.
The purple pillars make the photos nicer. Helping people walk safely through the Silk Board is the actual victory.

The new Azulian House at The Leela Palace has been designed as the home of a fictional travelling botanist whose collections fill every room.
Created by Bengaluru’s MAIA Design Studio, the space has 25-foot ceilings, botanical wallpaper, an eight-seat omakase bar, a glasshouse and garden dining beneath fruit-bearing trees.
Come for the Peru-inspired food. Stay because the imaginary owner’s house is more organised than your real one.
