Bengaluru Is Clearing Its Streets
From July 10, civic officials have begun identifying abandoned vehicles left on roads, footpaths and public spaces. Owners will receive a warning sticker and seven days to move the vehicle before towing action begins.
Meanwhile, the footpath-clearance drive has triggered protests from street vendors worried about losing their livelihoods. The city has now promised a provisional Town Vending Committee.
