Indiranagar is usually known for cafés, music and busy evenings. But this weekend, it hosted something much quieter and more meaningful.
At Indiranagar Club on Sunday, Kites Senior Care displayed artworks by more than 300 senior citizens living with dementia as part of its Colourful Whispers exhibition. One participant, 75-year-old Giriraju N, has created more than 400 paintings over the past four years after discovering art later in life.
The exhibition used painting to encourage expression, concentration and conversations around dementia care. It was a lovely reminder that creativity doesn’t come with an age limit, and neither does discovering something new about yourself.

At Jakkur Lake, more than 150 volunteers, including Gopalan Engineering College students, joined a cleanup organised by communiTREE and Jalaposhan Trust.
Youth for Seva led activities at Girinagar Park, where NPS Rajajinagar students demonstrated textile-waste management. Hasiru Dala ran a plog at Nagapura Park, while communiTREE and Smart Soc Hope Foundation brought volunteers to Lalbagh.
