Weekend Recipe: Neer Dosa
Neer dosa is a soft, delicate rice crepe from coastal Karnataka. Unlike regular dosa, it needs no urad dal and no fermentation - only soaking, blending and a little confidence while pouring.
Eat it with coconut chutney, vegetable saagu or kurma. Coastal versions are also paired with fish curry or chicken ghee roast. For something sweet, try grated coconut with jaggery.

The Weekend’s Big Update
One year, 3.8 crore Yellow Line journeys

Namma Metro’s Yellow Line has completed one year with over 3.8 crore passenger journeys. Daily ridership grew from roughly 81,000 in August 2025 to 1.2 lakh by July 2026.
All 15 trains are now operational, bringing peak frequency to around seven minutes. BMTC also runs 28 feeder routes making nearly 300 trips daily. Infosys Konappana Agrahara, Silk Board and Delta Electronics Bommasandra are among the busiest stations.
For Electronics City commuters, the real milestone is simpler: Hosur Road is no longer the only option.
