City Update 🚨
Anekal To Get Bengaluru’s New 80,000-Seat Cricket Stadium
Bengaluru is set to get a new international cricket stadium in Anekal, with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expected to lay the foundation stone on May 23.

The stadium will come up on 75 acres of Karnataka Housing Board land in Suryanagar, Anekal, near the Tamil Nadu border. With a planned seating capacity of 80,000, it could become India’s second-largest cricket stadium after Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. The project is estimated to cost ₹943 crore and is expected to be completed in about three years. The global tender process for the project will also close on May 23.
The new stadium has been proposed after the June 2025 stampede outside Chinnaswamy Stadium, where 11 people died. Chinnaswamy currently seats around 32,000, which many feel is too small for big IPL and international matches.

Business and startups 💻
Bengaluru Still Teaches Business In Real Time
Entrepreneur Keshav Inani says Bengaluru remains one of India’s best places to learn business because the city gives direct exposure to founders, investors, coworking spaces, startup events, and real customer problems.
He says the city’s strength is its collaborative culture, where founders often share contacts, advice, and practical support. His own firm reportedly crossed ₹1 crore in annual billings in less than a year.
Bengaluru still faces traffic, pollution, and rising costs, but for startup learning, the city continues to offer rare access.
