March 26 | Thursday

Good morning, Bengaluru. ☕
The kind of week that reminds you why living in this city is never dull. Budgets, towers, rock legends, cricket at Chinnaswamy, poetry, and enough morning runs. Here's everything you need to know before you step out.

CIVIC BUDGET 2026

📰 Bengaluru’s First Multi-corporation Budget

Bengaluru's civic bodies are presenting their annual budgets this week

Bengaluru is set for a major change as five new city corporations under the Greater Bengaluru Authority will present their first-ever separate budgets on March 27–28, 2026.The total budget is expected to be around ₹21,000 crore, slightly higher than last year’s unified BBMP budget.

This new system aims to improve local development, with focus on better roads, drainage, and basic services. Officials are also planning to raise funds through municipal bonds due to lower property tax collections.

This move is seen as a big step towards faster and more efficient city.  Read more
